AUTO ON A BUMPY ROAD!
Posted date: 25/April/2009

Like how auto journey in Bangalore not very safe the film ‘Auto’ is also similar. This auto travels on a bumpy road and pot holes leaving lot to be deserved. What happens when the medium is not understood properly has happened to director Mallikarjuna. He had not showed any promise at the two press meets and remained similar when his result appeared on the silver screen. What should be told and what should be shot to make a crisp entertainer is what Mallikarjuna should learn.

In his first direction ‘Auto’ he tests the patience with lengthy first half and meaningless second half. The meter is not proper for this ‘Auto’. It jumps helter-skelter. It appears that the story of ‘My Autograph’ is rewritten for this film.

Sathya loves some one but he is loved by some one. Sathya does not get his love fulfilled. He is asked to get married to some one but she goes away from the house after giving birth to a child. Sathya is now loved by another young girl but his first lover appears on the scene. Sathya decline to accept her now and he gets the girl who he did not love in the end.
In between hide and seek play by destiny there are so many unwanted and message filled scenes to make it miserable for the audience to carry out the film.

Sathya in his first venture is tolerable. Roshani, Shravani, Krithika deserved to be better. Srinivasaprabhu has a continuation of his role in ‘Josh’.

The tolerable aspect of this film is the music direction of debutant Vijaykrishna. He has given three lovely songs. The best editing of the film is – hacking a rowdy to death and blood spilling and the next scene is blood donation camp. What an editing it is?

Camera work is as painful as painful journey of auto on a disturbed road. Go for better entertainment!
